Welcome, Friends! I am so glad you happened upon this page!
Let me introduce myself. My name is Heather, and I find it very awkward to talk about myself… (🙈😬😆) Ok, I’m glad we got that out of the way! I am very much an introvert, often mistaken for an extrovert. Nature is my thing, and I love most activities that get me outdoors. I’m a mama of 4 tiny humans, that keep me just outside my comfort zone with all their activities. We raise cattle in our “down time”, and are in the process of building our forever home. My husband has accused me of wanting every kind of animal, but for now we just have cows, dogs, cats, and chickens. Our neighbor’s turkey adopted us for a while before she took her back, and I thought she was the coolest thing… So we might need to get another one sometime. 😜
I’m intrigued by interior design, and making spaces functional and practical, yet beautiful. I’m definitely inspired by the farmhouse feel, but I would say my style is farmhouse/minimalist/rustic with a touch of modern flair. I’m really loving the Scandinavian styling. Simplicity meets modern farmhouse. It’s heavenly! I love small houses and finding ways to utilize every inch of space. It’s also a priority to make sure that a house feels like a home for children too. They need to be able to feel like they can be themselves in our space as well.
I am a stay-at-home mama, but that is far from my only title. I have a small business called Wild Oak Mama, where I offer all sorts of home decor and custom gifts. I also do a little bit of photography for a small group of clients. I call myself a hobbyist. I enjoy it, but do not want to make a career out of it. In addition to my little side-biz, I am also a Girl Scout troop leader and a board member of our school’s Booster Club. (See often mistaken for an extrovert above.)⬆️😆
So, for those of you who read through this whole mumbo-jumbo, thank you! I am so glad you are here. I would love to know more about you! Feel free to reach out to me any time. I try to get back to everyone, and I enjoy giving advice and sharing tips and tricks that I have learned along the way!
